In honor of my dad’s birthday, we went to see this.  It was filmed in a county fairly close to where we live. All of the reviews I’ve read were talking about the performances of the main actors and I agree. I am completely blown away with how even the tiniest looks from Michael Shannon mean so much and how every word is carefully chosen. In thinking about it now, a few days later, their performances,  (Jessica Chastain was almost flawless herself) are staying with me. I don’t want to share too much because it’s worth seeing but I must say that the music is beautiful and some of the shots are breath-taking. I’m so glad we went to see it.
